Why Sabrina Carpenter Is Basically the Soundtrack to My Huntsville Boudoir Sessions

I’ve realized over the last couple years that the vibe of a boudoir session matters just as much as the photos themselves. Honestly, maybe even more. The energy in the room completely changes the way girls carry themselves in front of the camera, and I can always tell the exact moment somebody stops overthinking and starts actually feeling themselves. Weirdly enough, that moment usually happens right around the time Sabrina Carpenter starts playing through the speakers.

And honestly? It makes perfect sense.

There’s something about her music that feels confident without trying too hard. It’s playful, feminine, flirty, self-aware, and just chaotic enough to make girls loosen up and stop taking themselves so seriously for a second. That’s exactly how I want my boudoir sessions to feel too. Not stiff. Not intimidating. Not overly serious. Just fun, confident energy where you get to exist as the hottest version of yourself for a couple hours.

A lot of people still think boudoir photography in Huntsville Alabama is this super intense, deeply serious thing where you have to show up already knowing how to pose and magically be confident the second the camera comes out. In reality, most girls walk in nervous as hell. They immediately tell me they’re awkward, they don’t know what to do with their hands, and they’re scared they won’t look like the girls they’ve seen online.

And every single time I’m like… babe. Nobody knows what they’re doing at first.

That’s literally why I’m there.

The music honestly changes everything though. I’ll put on Sabrina Carpenter and suddenly girls are moving around more naturally, laughing between poses, fixing their hair in the mirror, dancing around a little between shots, and before they even realize it, they’ve completely stopped overthinking themselves. The confidence starts feeling natural instead of forced.

I think that’s why I love her music so much for sessions specifically. It doesn’t feel overly performative or overly sexy in a way that makes girls uncomfortable. It feels FUN. Like getting ready with your friends before going out. Like taking mirror selfies because your outfit actually came together for once. Like realizing maybe confidence doesn’t have to feel so serious all the time.

That’s the energy I want girls bringing into their boudoir photoshoot.

I want them walking into my Huntsville boudoir studio feeling like they’re about to have an experience instead of some awkward formal photoshoot. Because honestly, by the end of most sessions, it feels way more like a girls’ night with really good lighting than anything else.

And I think girls in their twenties and thirties especially are craving that right now. They’re tired of hiding from photos. Tired of waiting until they lose weight or become more confident or somehow wake up one day magically loving every single thing about themselves. They want to romanticize their lives a little more. They want memories of this version of themselves. They want photos that feel cool and effortless and confident instead of overly posed and perfect.

That’s exactly what I try to create during my boudoir photography sessions in Huntsville.

Not perfection. Not some fake version of confidence. Just an environment where girls feel relaxed enough to let their personality come through naturally. Because honestly, the best photos always happen the second somebody stops trying so hard to “look sexy” and just starts feeling good instead.

And if Sabrina Carpenter happens to help unlock everybody’s inner bad bitch in the process… honestly, I support it completely.
