I am so excited to finally be blogging my first session from my Curvy Girl Model call! I decided I would do thes Q&A style so that all you wonderful humans contemplating your own session can gain a little insight about the experience and what these ladies felt after! So first up on the blog is Ms. O!
Why You decided to do a boudoir session?
I’ve never done anything like a boudoir session before and I’m one of the most modest people you’ll ever meet. I wanted to step out of my comfort zone. I’m so glad I did because I found the session to be fun and truly empowering.
What was your favorite part about the session?
My favorite part of the session was at the very end when I asked Samantha if we could try to get a shot of a scar I have on my chest from when I had my port removed after chemotherapy. I’ve always hidden this scar but I felt ready to embrace all that I’ve been through. It was a special moment for me.
What did doing this shoot do for your self confidence, self worth, and self image? Tell me your story.
This shoot gave me the opportunity to be proud of my body today. It reminded me of how strong I am. I think every woman should love her body and that’s a hard thing to do because there is so much pressure in the world to look a certain way. I would recommend this shoot to everyone because it definitely showed me how to pause and appreciate my body, every curve and scar. I felt beautiful.
What was the best part of your experience? Would you change anything?
It was super fun! The best part was laughing during pose changes.
What would you tell another girl who is thinking about booking a session?
Do it, you will be so happy you did.
