One of the things I enjoy most about summer in Savannah is how patriotic we all get. This is a military town, and we have no shortage of American flags dotting our landscape, and even more red, white, and blue decorating our communities. 

Next to St. Patrick’s Day green, Savannah really shows up and shows out for the 4th with all things patriotic, like fireworks, cookouts, and lots of time outdoors appreciating all the adult beverages and good times.

A Fun Way to Celebrate Tradition

If you have a soft spot for the 4th of July, you’re probably pretty patriotic yourself, and there’s no way to celebrate our freedom like a boudoir photo shoot— AM I RIGHT!? 

Seriously, some women love the festivities of Christmas or Halloween, others love Valentine’s Day romance, but if you love the 4th of July, you’re definitely the kind of woman who marches to her own beat, and THAT’S  the kind of woman I love to get creative with. So this year, I offered 4th of July mini sessions and tried some boudoir fun outside of the studio.

Taking the Boudoir out of the Bedroom

4th of July is all about celebrating our freedom, and I want to bring that free spirit out in the women who work with me. When it comes to boudoir sessions, I think holidays are a great time to try a new theme or put a fun spin on traditions. I especially enjoyed this session because it got us away from the typical studio shoot, and we tried something new, tapping into fun and freedom. The word boudoir means a woman’s bedroom or private room, but we can absolutely take the session outside and still capture everything a great boudoir session should represent!
